Attention All Athletes Do you play Tennis – Baseball – Volleyball – Swim competitively – All Over head throwing athletes…
Do you have elbow pain, tennis elbow, (lateral epicondylitis), wrist pain or shoulder pain?
Your diagnosis might be tennis elbow or golfer’s elbow, (medial epicondylitis), or as a baseball pitcher, you are heading for a Tommy John surgery. These problems are at epidemic stages in athletes. Something is missing in the evaluation and treatment of these problems.
Dr. Bob Donatelli has been treating tennis elbow, elbow pain, wrist pain and shoulder pain in association with tennis elbow, and golfer’s elbow for the past 25 years. He developed a rehabilitation program that utilizes state-of-the-art technology, backed up by extensive research and 25 years of experience treating lateral epicondylitis and medial epicondylitis, wrist pain and shoulder pain in association with tennis elbow and golfer’s elbow. Furthermore, Dr. Donatelli has been training athletes to prevent the onset of elbow pain, wrist pain and shoulder pain that delivers successful results. His rehabilitation programs are designed to fix the problem. The question is why are you having elbow pain, wrist pain, and shoulder pain or knee and foot … problem???
Dr. Donatelli ‘s key to successfully treating athletes is based on his detailed and comprehensive assessments. The programs are then based on his specific findings from the evaluation. Specificity of exercises, joint mobilization, stretching techniques, and balance programs help the athlete to overcome pain, muscle weakness, joint restrictions, balance, and dynamic vision problems. A comprehensive program will reduce the chance of reoccurring injuries and improves performance. Often times the cause of elbow pain, tennis elbow, medial or lateral epicondylitis, wrist pain, and shoulder pain is overlooked by medical practitioners.
Once untreated these conditions such as medial or lateral epicondylitis, wrist pain, Tennis elbow, and shoulder pain can be career ending or cause the loss of athlete scholarships, and most important the individual athlete's dreams. The most common surgery in baseball is a Tommy John procedure to repair a torn ligament in the elbow. There have been thousands of Tommy John surgeries performed throughout the United States. Dr. Bob has a program for overhead throwing athletes’ that can help to prevent Tommy John surgery and help to improve the performance of the athlete.
Do you play soccer, basketball, football do you have hamstring strains, knee pain, hip problems, foot and ankle instability, shin splints, and/or foot pain…? See Dr. Bob before you waste your time with treatments and remedies that do not change anything. Get rid of your pain, reduce your chance of re-injury and improve your game. Hamstring strains, knee pain, hip problems, foot and ankle instability, shin splints, and/or foot pain can become serious problems in sports. They are more common in running sports that require quick starts, stops, and change in direction. Hamstring strains, knee pain, hip problems, foot and ankle instability, shin splints, and/or foot pain are all identifying the pain not the problem. Dr. Bob Donatelli has worked with numerous athletes that have come to him with no hope of returning to their sport. “often time he has been told that he is their last hope” to returning to sports. Dr. Bob’s treatment approach is like being a detective and finding out why the athlete has developed the pain. Once the cause of the problem has been established such as, muscle deficits, muscle atrophy, trigger point pain, joint restrictions, then a treatment program is designed to eliminate the above dysfunction.
Dr. Bob hasn’t let much prevent him from succeeding over the past 25-plus years, a span in which he’s showed his own impressive strength and range. Dr. Donatelli has worked with numerous professional, college and high school athletes. His first professional athlete was former Major Leaguer, Dale Murphy. “That year, the manager said that was the healthiest Dale Murphy he ever saw,”
Then, after meeting outfielder Marquis Grissom he dramatically resurrected his career. Marquis was plagued with injuries from his early days with the Atlanta Braves. In the twilight of his career, Marquis was traded to the LA Dodgers and labeled as a four outfielder no longer an everyday starter. After working with Marquis for one off-season he then won the starting field position after 2 months and in the last three years of his career he started in centerfield for the San Francisco Giants and put up numbers that match his personnel best. Donatelli soon found himself as the go-to guy for many ailing athletes, including Michael Barrett (Chicago Cubs), Brian Jordan (Atlanta Braves), Tony Armis (Montreal Expos), Terrance Newman (Dallas Cowboys), Matt Stenchcome (Tampa Bay Buccaneers), David Riske (Milwaukee Brewers), Tyronn Lue ( Orlando Magic) Dahntay Jones (Indiana Pacers), Tayshaun Prince ( Detroit Pistons) Marcus Banks (Toranto Rapers), Al Harrington (New Knicks) and many more.

Andy Roddick’s father testimony to Dr, Donatelli
AS THE PROUD FATHER OF ANDY RODDICK, I MET DOCTOR ROBERT DONATELLI IN 2000 DURING ANDY’S FIRST ATP VICTORY IN ATLANTA, GEORGIA. ANDY
AT THE TIME WAS EXPERIENCING SOME SEVERE SHOULDER AND ELBOW PAIN THAT HAD BEEN ONGOING FOR SOME TIME. DOCTOR DONATELLI STARTED WORKING WITH ANDY AND INSISTED THE ELBOW PAIN WAS A DIRECT RESULT OF THE SHOULDER PROBLEMS. DOCTOR DONATELLI WAS THE ONLY PERSON THAT TOLD US THE ELBOW PROBLEM WAS COMING FROM HIS SHOULDER PROBLEMS.
AFTER EVALUATING ANDY, DOCTOR DONATELLI PUT TOGETHER AN UPPER BODY EXERCISE AND CONDITIONING PROGRAM THAT WITHIN ONE YEAR ELIMINATED THE THE ELBOW AND SHOULDER PAIN. THE DONATELLI PROGRAM IS UNIQUE IN MANY WAYS.
DOCTOR DONATELLI EVALUATES ANDY TWICE PER YEAR, CHECKING FOR STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE BODY. WITH THESE RESULTS, DOCTOR DONATELLI CREATES A SPECIFIC PROGRAM FOR THE NEXT SIX MONTHS. EACH OF ANDYS EVALUATIONS HAS SHOWN IMPROVEMENT. THE LAST EVALUATION SHOWS
ANDY GRADING OUT 5 AND 5+ IN ALL CATAGORIES BASED ON A SCALE OF 1-5. I REALIZED EARLY ON THIS WAS EXACTLY WHAT ANDY NEEDED TO DO TO STAY HEALTHY. DOCTOR DONATELLI WORKED ON NOT ONLY PREVENTING INJURY BUT INCREASING HIS OVERALL STRENGTH AND AGILITY. WE SAW THE SERVE, AS
DOCTOR DONATELLI PREDICTED, GO FROM 138 MPH TO AN ASTONISHING WORLD RECORD 155 MPH, SMASHING THE OLD RECORD BY A FULL EIGHT MPH!

Case Study: Caitlin Jones
Caitlin Jones, a young tennis star with a scholarship to play tennis at a top boarding school in Connecticut. Caitlin’s diagnosis was elbow, lateral and medial, epicondylitis on the dominant arm. 9 months after surgery she was unable to turn a doorknob or write.
After a thorough evaluation, I put together a rehabilitation program that emphasized strengthening exercises, manual therapy, and soft tissue mobilization.
Caitlin then started playing tennis pain-free after 3 years of pain and frustration and is hoping to lead her high school team to a championship in 2014.
